I was introduced to Jack Mackenroth just like most people, during season four of “Project Runway” on Bravo. It was refreshing to see someone so open about being HIV positive. So many people still have the wrong idea about being HIV positive and Aids. It is something one can live with and thrive in all areas of life as long as they take care of themselves properly.

On February 15th, I had the fortune of being able to see Mr. Charles perform songs off his new CD live at City Winery in NYC at his release party. I can tell you that the songs sounded amazing and Josh played the heck out of the piano that night. He even joked that he felt sorry for whoever had to use the piano next, because he had played it so hard it needed to be tuned again. It’s that sense of humor that makes him so approachable and shows how grounded he is.
