Every month utweet.it will pick 10 people on Twitter we feel our friends and followers would enjoy as a new additions to their stream. I hope that our example here will encourage others to take time and explain why someone is being recommended. Remember, these people come highly recommended so take the time to add them and enjoy their presence as much as we do here at uTweet.it

Name: Mireya Mayor

Why should you follow Mireya? – Fact: Mireya is the love child of Indiana Jones and Lara Croft – honest. Away from her day job (and sometimes during her travels) Mireya uses Twitter to not only educate people on a variety of the worlds wildlife but as a vehicle to inject her unique level of snarkness. Mireya is entertaining, charming and one of my favorite people to follow. Twitter should come with this comedic genius as standard. A must follow for anyone interested in absolute awesomeness.

Name: Dash Mihok
Location: LA (but bleeds New York)
Bio: Actor/Musician and anti-bullying activist.

Why should you follow Dash? – I was first introduced to Dash in 2009 where he kindly offered to lend his support to the ‘Jaylens Challenge‘ campaign. Calling upon his own life experiences he has joined forces with Jaylen Arnold to take the anti bullying campaign to the people. Away from his goodwill work Dash is an accomplished actor and very talented musician. Always speaking his mind and leading with his heart Dash is someone you should be following.

Name: Eos Chater
Location: London
Bio Founder member of electric string 4et, Bond. Violinist, writer, arranger, singer, stringer, lover of all things dog.

Why should you follow Eos? – A call for help locating local Welsh bands brought Eos to my attention and what a great person to follow. Always cheerful and upbeat, this whacky Princess is nothing short of hilarious. Just take a peek into her time line and you’ll find plenty of examples highlighting her unique silliness. Relatively new to the Twitter scene, Eos has used the medium to inject an often  needed burst of happiness ensuring her followers always leave with a smile. I adore her sense of individuality and am confident you will too. I recommend everyone follow this great Twitter gem.

Location: Tacoma/Seattle

Why should you follow this great guy? – Sean is an author, blogger, and community activist who blogs for the Huffington Post and Opinion Editorial, and whose work has appeared in a variety of publicatioins.  You can learn more about his work on his blog profile. What I want to bring your attention to is the person his followers have grown to respect on Twitter. A long standing Twitizen he has dedicated himself to helping others spread their message. Providing a constant source of great information @2morrowKnight takes the best messages from his Twitter stream and helps to pass them on aswell as offer his own fantastic insights and information. Respected by his peers he has set a standard to which most aspire to reach. Following this social mogul will most certainly give your Twitter a boost of greatness.

Why should you follow the Jeff? – The original Mr Cool. I’m not sure which he is known for more – his broadcasting presence or his hair. On a more serious note, Jeff is one of the nicest people I have yet to have the pleasure of meeting in person but proud to call him a true friend. A real social butterfly, his experiences are very well documented on Twitter as he travels the country meeting and greeting new friends and inspiring smiles across the land. His background in the entertainment industry has forged this social giant into one of Twitters greatest assets. Those who have shared a french fry with him can attest to his ability to bring the ‘soul’ to any gathering. Adding Jeff to your list of followers will ensure a friend forever.

Name: Amber Mac

Why should you follow Amber? – Quite simply the one of the most tech savvy women in tech. Not only does Amber offer great IT related advice via her Twitter feed but she also engages with her followers. If you are familiar with @LeoLaPorte then you will already be aware that Amber co-hosts the show ‘Net@Night’ on the TWiT Tv network where they discuss what’s happening on the net right now. Always a pleasure to see Amber grace my stream and if you take the time to follow this technical beauty I’m sure you will not be disappointed.

Why should you follow Jeff? – This is what GOD looks like – no seriously, forget the robes and beard. Jeff is Mr ‘Social Media’. A pioneer, visionary call it what you want this genius has brought together some of the most influential social and marketing superstars to his 140 character conferences across the world and changed the game. Despite his hectic lifestyle he always finds the time to talk to his followers and leads by example. Encapsulating the social community spirit has made Jeff one of the most respected individuals in the field. His commitment deserves recognition and you can show your appreciation with a follow.

It must also be noted that she has one of most endearing smiles on Twitter – *winks*.  Twitter is a better place with Shelly around. You only have to follow her to better understand what I mean.

Why should you follow Juliette? – Recommended by @adamsconsulting – ‘I think people should follow Juliette because she is upbeat and fun, she shares great tweets and she’s a wonderful Twitter friend. She’s definitely a beautiful person, inside and out’.

Juliette is one of those down to earth people who speaks from the heart and offers a great insight into what makes her tick. An interesting person to follow who mixes interesting links with her own sense of reality. An excellent addition to anyones Twitter arsenal.

Why should you follow Iconic88? – This heavy hitter is a favorite for many of Twitters most influential people – for good reason. Providing a constant source of not only enlightening posts but words that inspire. He is held in high regard by most and his ability to engage with people sets him apart from many. If you take a look at his Twitter feed you will always find great material to retweet. Be warned, should you choose to follow Iconic88 you will no doubt want to go out and buy some ice cream (but don’t let that stop you).
